Strong Like a Mother

Strong Like a Mother is a support group for moms. It is designed to create a safe space to share thoughts and feelings, discuss challenges and receive support from other moms.

Open to children and families from all area towns, year-round on Wednesday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at TEEG (15 Thatcher Road, North Grosvenordale)

This scholarship, established in 2004, and officially named the Fran Roy Memorial Scholarship in 2016, is in memory of one of TEEG’s founding members – Frances (Fran) Roy.

SMART Recovery

The program supports individuals dealing with substance use and other addictive behaviors by teaching skills that strengthen motivation, manage cravings, regulate emotions, and improve problem-solving.

Strengthening Connections and Understanding, One Program at a Time

The Community Connection Series is designed to help the community work together to raise awareness, share feedback, and problem solve. This program is open to all residents of northeast Connecticut, regardless of income.

Community Garden

With the help of volunteers, we have planted a community garden at TEEG, 15 Thatcher Rd., North Grosvenordale, CT

The food grown is distributed directly through our Community Markets and meal programs. Our garden is meant to be both a classroom and a production space for the community. One of our goals is to introduce or reintroduce a variety of fresh foods to our clients and families.

Diaper Bank
A Regional Program for Families

A Regional Program for Families
Residents of Thompson are eligible to receive one package of diapers and one package of wipes per child each month. Diapers are available in sizes newborn through size 6.
The diapers are distributed at TEEG, 15 Thatcher Road, North Grosvenordale, CT, on the second Friday of every month by appointment.

TEEG Offers support to Individuals and Families Experiencing Homelessness.
 
-The severity of homelessness ranges from those whose housing situation has become unstable to those living on the streets or in the woods.
 
-We provide clothing, emergency food, supplies, meals, counseling, and showers.
