During Playgroup children learn how to:

Get along with other children and make new friends
Be creative and use their imaginations
Share and express themselves
Trust loving adults and foster positive relationships
Problem solve in helpful ways
Play independently at home
Build language skills and memory

Benefits of Playgroup for Children and Parents/Caregivers:

Parents/caregivers and children can spend quality time together, developing stronger relationships.

We provide an opportunity for parents/caregivers to interact with children in a positive way. Please take this time to unplug from the outside world and tune into your children.

Our Schedule:

9:30-10:00 Free Play

9:30-10:30 Activity (a monthly calendar of activities will be distributed)

10:30-10:45 Snack Time We ask that you wait for snack time to eat. Children should be seated at the table while enjoying snack.

10:45-11:00 Story time/ Songs

(This is a great opportunity for the children to listen to and engage in a story. Loud background conversation not only distracts the children's attention away from the story, but also from the reader who tries to engage the children.)

During Playgroup parents/caregivers learn:

How to be more confident in their parenting skills
New ways to be involved with their child
How to laugh and have a good time with their child
Positive ways to communicate with their child
Understand their child's development
Local community resources and how to access them
Ways to develop a strong network and connection with other parents/caregivers.
