TEEG is looking for a supportive, outgoing, open-minded individual to join our team. TEEG is a 501(c)3 community service agency located in North Grosvenordale, Connecticut. We have provided services to individuals and families in Northeast Connecticut since 1988. TEEG programming focuses on health, safety, and the future of youth in our community.
Position is 20 hours per week, working with children and families to support regular attendance in the Thompson, CT School system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, in Human Services or related field, or 5 years of comparable experience
- Demonstrated experience working in the area of youth and family support
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and flexible duties
- Ability to work with school staff to create support system
- Clean record with State Bureau of Investigations, Department of Children and Families, and Motor Vehicle
- Dependable transportation
Duties:
- Complete client paperwork as required
- Assist with case intake and monitoring
- Telephone calls and home visits
- Transport child to school
- Recommending and coordinating other TEEG supports and services for youth and families
- Youth and parent mentoring
CPR / First Aid certifications, A and V Endorsements a plus
