Scholarship Opportunity for Local Community-Minded Students
This scholarship, established in 2004, and officially named the Fran Roy Memorial Scholarship in 2016, is in memory of one of TEEG’s founding members – Fran Roy.
Fran served TEEG, holding each office and a seat on the board of Directors for 26 years. The Fran Roy Memorial Scholarship is designed to honor graduating students pursuing further education from Thompson, Woodstock, and Pomfret who have excelled in the areas of community activism through work in their schools and communities, qualities that Fran herself embodied.
Applications are available in the Guidance Departments at the following schools: The Pomfret School, Woodstock Academy, Tourtellotte Memorial High School, Marianapolis Preparatory School, Ellis Tech and Killingly High School. Applications are also available at the TEEG office and online.
