If community spirit is the heart of TEEG, then volunteerism is our soul. Our agency was born through the spirit of volunteerism. We continue to serve thousands more than our staff could ever reach because of the countless volunteers who are always stepping up to lend a hand.

TEEG has been blessed with caring, generous individuals from Thompson and beyond who give freely of their time and talents to help us meet our mission. They come to distribute food to those less fortunate, prepare a holiday meal, mow a lawn, weed a garden, answer our phones, or file stacks of paperwork. We couldn’t do it without you!

Lending a Helping Hand

Many hands are needed to build a great agency. There are many ways to volunteer your time with TEEG.

Always start with the same basic steps:

• Discuss your interest with TEEG staff
  
  
• Choose your craft:
  a. Organize a food, toy or clothing drive
  b. Assist in the food pantry
  c. Help with Holiday giving
  d. Assist with the annual mailing
  e. Help with senior & youth programs
  f. Summer garden & summer lunch
  g. Assist with yard work and maintenance
  h. Office work
  
  
• Finish with a feeling of satisfaction
