Community Services
Fortifying Our Foundations

The strength of any structure rests in a solid foundation. Our community programs, while not made of concrete or stone, serve as the foundation that supports so many in Northeastern Connecticut.

TEEG's Community Service TeamWhatever it takes. Our team at TEEG is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the job done!

TEEG’s community programs provide families, adults and seniors the supports they need. Whether it’s building blocks for effective parenthood, caulk to fill gaps for seniors, or concrete to help those seeking to build a new foundation,TEEG is there to help.

All of TEEG’s Wellness and Prevention efforts are made stronger by our partnership with the Northeast District Department of Health and our membership in HealthQuest, a regional collaborative of healthcare and community partners.

TEEG has entered into agreement to host a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) site during the 2012 tax season. From an IRS press release: "The VITA program offers free tax help to people who cannot afford professional assistance. VITA volunteers help prepare basic tax returns for taxpayers with special needs, including persons with disabilities, those with a low to limited income, non-English speaking persons and elderly taxpayers." Dates and times of this service are to be announced.

This year TEEG touched the lives of 2,405 local neighbors and friends 29,085 times.
