Holiday Giving

The Holiday Giving program is the community’s gift to those in need. Children and Seniors in qualified families receive holiday gifts. In addition, all qualified families receive holiday meals.

Local businesses, churches, service organizations, and our generous community come together to donate food, gift items and money to make this program happen. Participants in the program give back to the community by volunteering 10 hours at TEEG or with the community organization of their choice.

Holiday food boxes should include the following items*:

  • Turkey
  • Stuffing
  • Potatoes (5lbs)
  • Butter
  • Cranberry Sauce
  • 6 Cans of Vegetables (2 kinds, 3 cans of each)
  • 6 Cans of Fruit
  • 2 cans of Yams
  • Gravy (canned or package mix)
  • Condiments (i.e. pickles and olives)
  • Jell-O
  • Pie Crust and Filling
  • Hard Vegetables (squash, turnips)
  • Celery and Onions
  • Fresh Fruit
  • Cookies and Candy
  • Juice
  • Optional: any other items that will aid in meal preparation
    (i.e. aluminum foil, plastic wrap, etc.)

are missing so that we may fill the gaps.

TEEG is a resource that unites the entire community in providing needs-based services to low-income families as well as enrichment programs for all.
