Private Fuel Assistance Funds
TEEG offers fuel assistance from a private fuel fund to residents of Thompson, Woodstock and Pomfret. The money in these funds is dependent on the generosity of the community. CEAP (Connecticut Energy Assistance Program)
The Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) is designed to help offset the winter heating costs of Connecticut’s lower-income households, specifically those households whose income falls at or below 60 percent of the state median income.
The Connecticut CEAP program is available from November 1st through April 30th each year and may offer one or more of the following types of assistance:
- Bill payment assistance.
- Energy crisis assistance.
- Weatherization and energy-related home repairs.
In order to qualify, you must have an annual household income (before taxes) below the following amounts:
