Our typical schedule consists of free play, a structured activity (which could include- arts/crafts, gross motor, sensory, music and movement, and fine motor), snack/story, then clean up.

Playgroup offers an opportunity for families to engage and interact with other families. It also provides and opportunity for children to learn and engage with peers in a social and comfortable atmosphere, as well as provide them the opportunity to get used to the school system and the rules before they transition to kindergarten.

Life is unpredictable. “Got Drama?” is an after-school community youth program that will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Playhouse in Putnam, CT. This program is free to all youth, and offered to children ages 8-16. This trauma-informed, therapeutic intervention aims to provide a lively, hands-on opportunity for children to develop peer relationships, affect-regulation skills, and a greater sense of self, healthy communication techniques and enhance their feelings of safety and trust within their peer group and community. Group facilitator, actor/director/producer, Carl Mercier, has extensive experience in leading community youth theater. His Co-facilitator, Brittany Bonchuk, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years in child and adolescent behavioral health and trauma treatment. Together, their artistic and clinical expertise will be a perfect blend.

Diaper Bank Distribution @ TEEG

The Diaper Bank helps to provide supplemental diapers to qualifying families once a month.  Diapers are distributed by appointment only, as they are supplied by the Putnam Diaper Bank, and we need to ensure your child’s size is available.

Registration Info

  • Early Bird Registration fee is $20 (includes t-shirt).
  • Register by the Early Bird deadline to receive free race t-shirt.
  • Collect $50 or more in pledges and registration fee is waived. Contact Recreation Office to register.
  • On-line Registration ends Nov. 10, 2017 at noon. After that date, you may register only at the event on Nov. 12 at the pavilion at the West Thompson Lake Overlook Shelter.
  • Registration opens on race day at 8:00 a.m.

Thanksgiving Distribution 2017 @ TEEG

Thanksgiving Distribution provides families with a traditional  Thanksgiving meal. Distribution is set up client choice style so families make select the items that best suit their families.  Applications will be available beginning on October 2nd and will be due back with 4 weeks of recent income, no later than November 13th.

Distribution Dates:

Families with Children- Monday,  November 20th

Families without Children- Tuesday, November 21st.

Holiday Giving 2017 @ TEEG

The Holiday Giving program is the community’s gift to those in need. Children and Seniors in qualified families receive holiday gifts. In addition, all qualified families receive holiday meals.

Applications will be available beginning on October 2nd, and must be returned completed with 4 weeks of recent income by December 1st.
