Our Communities
Once upon a time...

TEEG lives in a land called the Quiet Corner. We provide all of our services to residents in the towns of Thompson, Woodstock and Pomfret.

Thompson, Woodstock & Pomfret Residents

All TEEG services

  • Emergent food distribution for Northeastern CT individuals and families in crisis
  • Monthly commodity distribution to area residents in need- Recipients of these provisions must pre-register and be receptive to budgeting education
  • Bi-weekly distribution of surplus food items to senior and low/middle income (LMI)  neighbors
  • Community garden and nutrition education
  • Case management and budgeting programs for LMI families and individuals
  • Senior Services & Case Management
  • CHOICES Counseling & Medicare Part C & D enrollment
  • State of CT Program applications (including but not limited to Food Stamps, CEAP, Title 19)
  • Holiday Giving-Thanksgiving & Christmas meal baskets and Christmas gifts coordinated and distributed to LMI families and individuals
  • Private Fund Energy Assistance
  • Operation Fuel-Energy
  • Salvation Army-Emergency aid
  • Campership Program-Camp tuition and registration assistance for LMI area children and youth
  • MARS (Music At The Rectory School) music lesson scholarship applications
  • Back To School Program-Backpacks filled with required school supplies distributed to LMI families with children enrolled in area schools
  • St. Joseph’s Thrift Store Vouchers
  • Intensive Adolescent Mentoring
  • All Star Adventure Program
  • Weekly Preschool Partnership Playgroups for families with children birth to kindergarten & Educational field trips to promote experiential learning and early school readiness
  • Parents As Teachers-Home based parent education to promote awareness of early child development
  • Diaper Bank referrals
  • Free Summer Lunch for Kids ages 0-18
  • Parents Empowered Education Series
  • Scholarships for college bound community involved individuals
  • Gambler’s Anonymous- Every Monday evening, 7pm
  •  Anger Aside-6 week anger management course for individuals and couples-grant dependent
  • Volunteer Services
  • VITA Income Tax Preparation
