Welcome To The TEEG Website
Empowering Individuals. Strengthening Families. Engaging Communities.

TEEG is a human services organization that lends aid and support to families living in the communities of Northeast Connecticut. Starting out in the small mill village of North Grosvenordale, TEEG’s reach has expanded to serve neighboring communities in the Quiet Corner.

Our story begins in 1987, when a group of concerned citizens, local government and clergy joined forces to create TEEG. Since then, TEEG has grown to become an integral part of communities we serve as a human services organization that lends aid and support to families living in the communities of Northeast Connecticut. Starting out in the small mill village of North Grosvenordale, TEEG’s reach has expanded to serve neighboring communities in the Quiet Corner.

TEEG has a continued commitment to provide programs that benefit all aspects of our community. Over the years, our focus has changed from a "hand-out" to a "hand-up" approach fostering individuals’ collective abilities to reach out and help each other.

Last year, TEEG provided service to 2,610 unduplicated individuals and 1,054 unduplicated families.
